I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
